Here's a sample of the Christmas gifts that the Craft group have on offer.
The hyacinths are planted up with 3 bulbs in each basket/tin/bowl and there's Delft Blue, Pink Pearl (pale), Jan Bos (dark pink), Aiolos (white) and City of Harlem (yellow) to choose from. They will be completed with a layer of moss - thanks to Jenny raking her lawn – and a coloured ribbon bow to indicate the eventual flower colour – thanks to Mollie.
If you would like to reserve any hyacinth basket or craft item, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 4 December and items will be put aside for you. They will be available for collection on Sunday 13 December and other times by agreement. They will also be on sale at the Christmas Market in town on 6 December
Craft Group News
Despite the Covid19 restrictions this year, we have continued to create items for sale from our own homes. The 4 Mini Autumn Shows held in the Garden Room in September 2020 provided some keen customers to buy our wares! There are photos of the craft stall at the 2nd mini show (see the galleries page) which will give you some idea of what is on offer – and there are more Christmas themed items in the pipeline!
None of our regular evening meetings have gone ahead and instead we have held pop-up sessions; some in the Garden Room and now in the Store where currently we are allowed no more than 6 crafters at once.
We are hoping for more selling opportunities at our Pumpkin Extravaganza on Saturday 31 October, from the Bloom gazebo in the Market Place on Saturday 7 November, and again at the Charity Christmas Market to be held on Sunday 6 December. All of these will be subject to the current Covid 19 legislation
We have planted up our usual 35 hyacinth gift baskets/pots to bloom at Christmas. These are priced at £3.50, and if you would like to place an order, please email via email@example.com.
The 2 litre plastic bottles which we made into colourful flowers during the summer of 2019 formed part of our recycling projects stall in Wokingham market and have now been donated to WADE for their sensory garden. We hope our flowers will add a splash of colour in the garden during the winter months and will be visible by WADE members from their Centre on the Reading Road.

We do hope that in time we can pick up more regular and larger groups at our meetings. We have always been a friendly bunch, and newcomers have always been met with a warm welcome, tea/coffee and cake! In 2019 we met 7-9pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month from April to November down at the Ormonde Road Trading Store.
